A handful of young (some very young) entrepreneurs decide to create an innovative, alternative and attentive to new styles discotheque in Florence: thus Tenax was born. Its boom is not immediate, but within a few months the club becomes a meeting point for emerging artists, fashion designers and musicians \u2013 a sort of Greenwich Village of the Tuscan capital, and not only.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Music enthusiasts with good memory won\u2019t forget the concerts of groups like Spandau Ballet, Visage, Bauhaus, the Psychedelic Furs, New Order, the Sisters of Mercy which, at the time, are considered the elite of music. At the console are alternating Frank Alabastro, Enrico Tagliaferri, Larry and Leo Daddi \u2013 all DJs with very personal styles and destined to make the history of nightlife, as Tenax is about to become the most popular discotheque in Italy.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">These are the years of the \u201cUltra\u201d Wednesdays, of the Blade Runner staging, of the China Town events\u2026 while on the stage are performing Tears For Fear, Tuxedomoon, the Human League, D.A.F., Litfiba, Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Tenax also shows up on the then Minister Gianni De Michelis\u2019 guide of the most popular discotheques.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vittorio_Gassman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vittorio Gassman<\/a><\/span>, <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dalila_Di_Lazzaro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dalila Di Lazzaro<\/span><\/a>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/David_Byrne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Byrne<\/a><\/span>, <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Roberto_Benigni\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Roberto Benigni<\/span>,<\/a> <span style=\"text-decoration: In the second half of the 80s the change of course: the Tenax, already extremely well known as a disco in Florence, opens its doors to new generations and new audiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the early \u201890s, Tenax as temple of rock music is only a memory. Due to the uncertainty that hovers over the entire nightlife industry, a sudden change of the programming towards commercial and pop music \u2013 including discotheque for teenagers\u2013 becomes necessary. In 1995, Tenax is bought by the company Nozze di Figaro and starts its rebirth: thanks to a program rich in live events and international guests, the Florentine scene reconquers the night owls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The secret?
